SERVE

At Pathway, the church isn’t a place- it’s a people! We believe in bringing God and His message of love to the world around by the actions we take. There are many opportunities to serve at Pathway. You can serve by volunteering during our Sunday morning worship gatherings, or you can be a part of one of our community events. Past events have included Movies in the Park, passing out hot chocolate during Halloween and parades, contributing food and supplies to families and organizations in need, and serving people who work on Sundays around the community.

Ministry Areas

    First Impressions
    A Greeter helping visitors feel welcome by being friendly and answering questions.
    In connections answering questions and helping people to find their place to connect with others

    Music
    Using your talent to play various instruments or singing by leading others in to worship.

    Pathway Explores
    Change the lives of our children from nursery to middle school by teaching or assisting the teacher.
    Check in –out area is for people who don’t necessary want to work with kids but want to be part of the kids team by keeping our kids organize.

    Audio Visual Media
    Set-up and run front house audio for our worship services, or run various media for ( songs, lyrics, video elements, etc.)

    Cafe
    Manage, Supply and Create delicious delicacies for our café on Sunday mornings.

    Sacred Space
    Cleaning Team is a group of people who volunteer time to keep our space for worship gatherings, small groups, and other events.

     

    MISSIONS

    Pathway is a church that believes that how we love God goes far beyond our doors. We feel that God has called us to be a church that plants churches- whether they are in Michigan, somewhere else in the US, or around the world. We also believe in helping in other ways, such as sending supplies, sending funds to help projects that are affecting marginalized people everywhere. Our prayer is that as we grow, we can continue to expand the ways we can bring God’s love to our world.

     The Well

    Part of Pathway’s mission is to be a resource church which fuels new works of God such as The Well. The Well is located wherever two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name, but as of right now, the band of Christ followers in Ionia are meeting in an old lumber yard on the east side of town.

     Dr. Ed Love, and a small group of people who live in Ionia impact the region through the development of a new missional outpost or church community. Through the gifts of time, talents, and treasures, the body of Pathway is hoping to be a blessing to The Well and a continual partner in ministry.

    Awakening Church

    Awakening Church is a new church plant that will be reaching out to the Hubbardston and Carson City areas. They are currently holding preview services and some community outreach events. We are excited to see this new body spring up and you can find more information about them on their Facebook page.
